Decision:
I have considered a request from the Chief Constable for the forfeiture of a police pension, in respect of a former police officer, Mr Darren Coathup.
I am satisfied that the offences were committed in connection with service as a police officer and amounted to a betrayal of trust for personal gain, likely to lead to a loss of public confidence in policing.
Accordingly, I have approved the request from the Chief Constable and authorised the Chief Executive to make an application for a certificate to the Secretary of State.
